And so many of us are on the hedonic treadmill, pursuing one pleasure after another and discovering that what once brought us immense happiness quickly fades. What seemed like a “win” to me six months ago doesn’t seem like a “win” to me today, which can help create new pressure to keep making things happen. This is only magnified by the impact of social media as we all compare ourselves to others including our assumption that everyone around us has a higher “resting joy rate” hereby take our own down!
